Bishman was originally formed in 1974 and apart from a period between 1974 and 1992 when it was under corporate ownership it is a privately owned and managed company.

As a result of a decision at the end of 1992 by it’s corporate owners to wind down its building services activities, Bishman Limited was formed.

Since its establishment, Bishman are proud to have built a reputation as a leader in the construction industry. Our staff are committed to maintaining this quality service in all respects.

ACTIVITIES

The Company's activities include electrical contracting, design, engineering, intallation, servicing and maintenance of:

• low and medium voltage reticulation
• switchgear and distribution systems
• heavy power reticulation
• power factor correction
• energy conservation equipment
• prime and standby generation
• uninterruptible power systems
• building services including specialist protection
• control, monitoring and illumination systems
• mechanical services power reticulation, distribution and automated control systems
• voice and data systems
• security and access control

Bishman operates from an office and workshop in Mt Wellington, Auckland, New Zealand and has successfully completed many diverse medium-to-large electrical projects.

Projects completed by Bishman staff encompass almost every conceivable type of electrical contracting activity, including multi-storey Commercial developments, Retail developments, University & Polytechnic Institutes, Hospitals & Medical Centres and industrial installations incorporating PLC / automated control, hazardous areas, etc.

Each of the projects varied as to technical requirements and as such could be regarded as electrically intensive installations requiring the services of a professional and experienced company.
